Extended cognition, assistive technology and education

چکیده

Assistive technology (AT) is widely used in contemporary special needs education. Our interest the extent to which we can conceive of certain uses AT this educational context as a form extended cognition. It argued that what critical answering question relationship between student and more than just subject-and-instrument, but instead incorporates fluidity spontaneity puts it on functional par with their use student’s biological cognitive traits. claimed education offers an especially plausible case cognition for reason. further maintained understanding fashion has some important philosophical practical ramifications, including how should mainstream education, given increasingly conducted within highly technologically-embedded environments.
